WORKSHOP: REPLENISHING RESILIENCE – how to thrive in uncertain times
Zen Den at the Soul Spa, Sunday February 26th at 10.30am - 12.30pm
Cost: £15. Limited numbers.
The last few years have been deeply challenging, and we’ve had to dig deep to cope with our losses and difficulties. We’ve learned coping strategies – some healthy, some less so – to get us through, and we’ve often discovered or developed unexpected strengths and resources.
But, as new troubles keep emerging, we might wonder if we will ever get our balance back; globally, locally and in our personal worlds. If we can understand and foster resilience at a deeper level, we will not only avoid overwhelm – we’ll know how to live with confidence, connection and fulfilment in an increasingly uncertain world.
This workshop will go beyond the relaxation and coping techniques that help us deal with stress and overwhelm in the short-term, to explore the fundamental wellsprings of resilience. You will begin to:
· clarify what greater resilience would mean for you personally
· understand what may be cutting you off from inner sources of resilience
· practice a technique to access deeper wisdom and resolve challenges in new ways
· explore how resilience aligns with your values, needs, self-worth and relationships
This experiential workshop is led by Karen Bray, a counsellor based at the Soul Spa in central Bath. She offers workshops, groups and one-to-one single-session counselling, with the aim of making the benefits of counselling affordable for a wider range of people.
