Hi, I'm Adam. I trained in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) in 2013 and have been actively working with the approach in group and individual settings since. I am very passionate about the DBT approach and have helped many people to develop their insight and ability to manage their own emotions. In practice I recognised that while DBT is a popular therapy, often access has been limited for people due to the finite resources in statutory services. I have therefore started to offer DBT informed private therapy to help increase the availability of the DBT approach to a wider number of people. I aim to create a comfortable, compassionate and non-judgemental therapeutic space where people can explore their experiences and move forward from feeling stuck in the same patterns of emotion and behaviour. I am a member of the UK Society for DBT, a registered mental health nurse and continue to work in the NHS. I am also currently training in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence based approach for trauma, which I will be looking to offer in the future also.
