Integrative Relational Therapist

What is my approach?

Hello and welcome. I am a BACP accredited, Integrative Relational therapist with over twelve years’ experience of working within mental health. This has given me the opportunity to work collaboratively with people from a diverse range of backgrounds and cultures.

My integrative training means I can draw from a variety of therapeutic models to offer a tailored approach depending on individual need. I also have a special interest in Attachment (how our earliest experiences can impact the way we make relationships with others and the way we feel about ourselves) and Mindfulness (the ability to consciously notice what we are thinking and feeling right in the present moment). My relational approach means I can support you to strengthen the connection with your feelings, your body and your thoughts, as well as help you to develop the resources you need to help you figure out what is important to you and how to navigate relationships

I am a firm believer in the philosophy that given the right conditions, every human being has a vast potential for personal growth, and I strive to bring this ethos into all aspects of the therapeutic process. This may be working calmly and empathically with people in moments of crisis and confusion, empowering individuals to evolve and grow during periods of upheaval and change or supporting those struggling with their mental health or emotional wellbeing. Whatever is brought into the therapy room I offer containment and a warm, compassionate approach.

How will we work together?

When we meet you can tell me about yourself, and your concerns and we will confirm whether Integrative Therapy is the right approach for you. After six weeks we will have a review to see how you are finding therapy and whether you would like to extend the contract further.

I can offer short-term work of up to 18 weeks or long term, open-ended work depending on what you require.

If you would like to find out more about the approach I offer and how I could help, I am happy to answer any questions and discuss working together in an initial free fifteen-minute online call.
