Kirsty Dewar

Hi, I'm Kirsty, I'm a reflexologist with a specific interest in women's health. I work in Bath offering treatments from my home in Larkhall as well as mobile treatments.

I have an ABC Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology from The London School of Reflexology, a Diploma in Pre-conceptual, Pregnancy and Post pregnancy reflexology, as well as Spinal Reflexology training and a Level 3 Diploma in Healthy Eating and Wellbeing.

I first became interested in reflexology after struggling with infertility 10 years ago. I had a very stressful job and felt overwhelmed and anxious. Luckily I found a wonderful reflexologist and for the first time in years I felt calm, positive and relaxed. As well as helping me achieve a healthy pregnancy, she inspired me to change my life, retrain to be a reflexologist and help other people.

Reflexology is a safe, natural technique of applying gentle pressure to the reflexes of the feet in order to bring on a state of deep relaxation. It stimulates the body's own healing processes and helps restore health and a natural state of balance and wellbeing. The reflex points on the feet correspond to the body's glands and organs and by stimulating them can have an effect on their function. Reflexology improves the circulation by reducing stress and tension in the body. It also acts to open up neural pathways, creating a positive energy flow throughout the body. Reflexology can boost the body's immune system by calming the central nervous system, and allowing it to function more routinely.

Each client will receive a health and lifestyle consultation to help devise a suitable treatment plan. The treatment plan will be tailored to your personal health and goals, whether it be preventative, restorative. long term, short term or for a specific purpose.

What people say about Kirsty:

"Kirsty treated me for migraines with a series of reflexology sessions and since then the frequency of the attacks has greatly reduced. I found the treatments extremely relaxing and I also appreciated the way she researched other factors that may contribute to migraine relief such as diet, pilates exercises and supplements. I thoroughly recommend reflexology with Kirsty."

"I arranged a reflexology appointment with Kirsty after my midwife suggested it could help induce labour. Within a couple of hours of the treatment, I could feel things starting to happen and my daughter was born the next day! Kirsty was thoroughly professional, made me feel at ease and I came away from the appointment more relaxed than I had felt for a long time. I would thoroughly recommend Kirsty."

"I had 10 reflexology sessions with Kirsty and can't recommend her enough. I'd been struggling with anxiety and insomnia (one leading to the other). Kirsty took time to explain what would be involved before we started, and really putting me at ease. I tended to fall asleep during treatments and always felt much more relaxed afterwards. Kirsty's extra dietary and lifestyle advice had a big impact on me. I got back into an exercise routine and ate more healthily too. I'm sleeping well now, I've learnt ways of coping and I just feel so much better."
